Explanation:
At its April 3, 2019 meeting, the Community Redevelopment Agency expressed a desire to assist the American Legion Post 92 in renovating the existing American Legion Post 92 property located at 211 North 21st Avenue.
At this time the American Legion 92 would like to remove and replace the property’s exterior awnings, and the concrete patio and walkways, and obtain a new survey. During these challenging times with COVID-19 impacting the day-to-day operations of many businesses, the American Legion 92 were able to make contact with and obtain three quotes for the concrete patio and walkways, three quotes for the survey, and two quotes for the awnings.
After reviewing all of the quotes, the American Legion determined that it desires to contract Thompson Architectural Products - Division of American Made Awnings of Hollywood in the amount of $20,600.00, North Central Properties, Inc. d/b/a A Plus Concrete Restoration in the amount of $7,865.00, and Gibbs Land Surveyors in the amount of $600.00. At time we respectfully request that the CRA reimburse the American Legion 92 for the total cost for these improvements in an amount not to exceed $29,065.00.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this project is available in the FY20 Downtown CRA Operating Budget, account number 166.668602.55200.548640.000000.000.000.
