Explanation:
On June 25, 1997, The CRA adopted the Hollywood Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Plan for the Hollywood Beach District Area with the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).
The Pilot Project and Phase I, II and III of the Streetscape improvements and undergrounding have been proven a success in transforming the pedestrian and vehicular streetscape.
The CRA intends to continue with Phase IV and SR A1A - undergrounding of overhead utilities and E/W streetscape beautification south of Hollywood Boulevard to the southern boundary of the City.
Pursuant to Resolution No. R-2005-324, the City supported and approved various capital improvement projects, including the underground conversion of overhead utility lines on City rights-of-way.
On February 5, 2019, the CRA Board approved Resolution No. RCRA-2019-09, authorizing the appropriate CRA officials to negotiate and execute a contract with the highest ranked firm, Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. ("KH").
The CRA followed the procedures established in Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, known as the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act, to procure services from such consulting firm.
Pursuant to the procedures established in the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act, on October 22, 2018, the CRA issued RFQ BCRA 19-001 to provide professional engineering services for phase IV streetscape and SR A1A.
