Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:
Lift Station E-14 has served Harbor Islands for more than 25 years and requires extensive structural rehabilitation and equipment replacement.

AECOM and the City currently have a continuing Professional Services Agreement for General Engineering Consulting Services for water, sewer, reuse and stormwater infrastructure projects, and this agreement was approved by the City Commission pursuant to Resolution No. R-2017-284.

The Department of Public Utilities staff requested a proposal from AECOM to provide professional engineering services related to the design, permitting, bidding, and construction services for the Lift Station E-14 Rehabilitation project.

The agreement has a provision for insurance and indemnification that meets the City's requirements and gives the City the right to terminate for convenience.

The Department of Public Utilities recommends that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City officials to issue the attached Authorization to Proceed for work order number AEC 20-01 with AECOM in an amount not to exceed $99,958.00.

Funding was included in the FY 2020 Capital Improvements Program that was approved pursuant to Resolution No. R-2019-284.
