Explanation:

Approximately 43% of the City’s water customers are without sanitary sewer service.

 

During the June 21, 2017 and April 18, 2018 City Commission septic to sewer conversion workshops, the City Commission directed the Department of Public Utilities to provide sanitary sewer service to the areas that are without sanitary sewer service.

 

In order to implement the sewer conversion design, City staff has negotiated acquisition of an easement interest from Ministerio International Nuevo Comienzo En Cristo Corp., the property owner at 7676 Davie Road Extension, for the purchase price of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00).

 

The attached Lift Station Easement secures the right to construct and maintain a lift station on the property.

 

Funding was included in the FY2019 Capital Improvements Program that was approved pursuant to Resolution Number R-2018-302.

 

The account number to fund the Lift Station Easement acquisition is 442.409901.53600.563010.000517.000.000.

 

To complete the transfer of rights from the property owner to the City, the City Commission must formally accept the Lift Station Easement.
