Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities needs professional services for the design, maintenance, and repair of the Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment facility's chemical feed systems.
These services are needed due to system aging, and the desire to upgrade the existing chemical feed system with new cost-saving technology.
A competitive process through the City of Pompano Beach ("Pompano"), RFQ E-19-22 was performed for professional consulting services for the design, maintenance, and repair of chemical feed systems. Pompano issued agreement No. 1693 to Odyssey for an initial term of five years from November 14, 2022 - November 13, 2027, with an option to renew the contract for an additional five-year term.
Odyssey Manufacturing Co. has agreed to extend to the City the same pricing under the terms and conditions set forth in Agreement No. 1693.
The period of performance during which the desired design, maintenance, and repair services of these chemical feed systems will be acquired is from May 17, 2023 through November 13, 2027 for an annual amount of $300,000.00.
The Director of the Department of Public Utilities and Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve and authorize the execution of the attached Blanket Purchase Agreement with Odyssey Manufacturing Co. for the desired design, maintenance, and repair of chemical feed systems for an initial term of five years from November 14, 2022 - November 13, 2027, in an annual amount...
