Explanation:
On March 12, 2019, the City held a Special Election where a majority of voters decided to fund a variety of City-wide public improvement projects to be funded by a General Obligation Bond that included the Undergrounding of Utilities North Beach project.
The City desires to enter into an agreement with a consultant to provide Professional Civil, Landscape Architecture, Planning and Engineering design and general consulting services that are required for the Undergrounding of Utilities North Beach project.
The project is situated between A1A and Surf Road between Balboa Street and Franklin Street; with two additional streets being Douglas Street and Freedom Street to the south. The project consists of replacing the overhead utility systems with underground systems, and the beautification of the roadways by incorporating the lighting and landscaping beautification components, and finishing the project by milling and resurfacing the asphalt and rejuvenating the signing and striping.
