Explanation:
The City Commission desires to beautify the public rights-of-way within the City of Hollywood to include State Highway facilities. On February 6, 2013, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2013-027 which authorized the execution of the Inclusive Landscape Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement between the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") and the City with the purpose of maintaining the landscape.
The initial Memorandum of Agreement was amended on October 2, 2013 with Resolution No. R-2013-283; November 6, 2013 with Resolution No. R-2013-319; October 5, 2016 with Resolution No R-2016-296; July 3, 2017 with Resolution No. R2017-207, and July 3, 2018 with Resolution No R-2018-238, all of which include additional landscape improvements within the City on various FDOT roads.
Due to changes in construction of the I-95 express lanes, the landscape costs have changed. FDOT has revised the landscape improvements on I-95 at several locations, specifically set forth in Exhibit "A" of this proposed Amendment Number Nine to the Inclusive Landscape Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement.
