Explanation:
On March 12, 2019, the City held a Special Election where a majority of voters approved funding, through a General Obligation Bond (GO Bond), for the Dowdy Sports Field and Former Armory Renovation project.

This project is located at 2161 Johnson Street, in the City of Hollywood. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, renovation of the Former Armory building to create an indoor sports facility including basketball/batting cages/soccer goals, ADA compliant restrooms, office space, meeting rooms, and storage area, exterior landscaping, parking spaces reallocation and connection to Dowdy Field.

This project also involves work in the Dowdy Sports Field including replacing one artificial turf field that is 130 yards by 100 yards, installing one new artificial turf field with drainage, that is approximately 130 yards by 60 yards, re-lamping the existing field lights with LED sports lighting, removing baseball netting, poles, and the dugout and resurfacing the parking area.

The City followed the procedures set forth in Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, entitled "Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act" ("CCNA") and other applicable regulations to advertise for Statements of Qualifications for engineering design services.
