Explanation:

The City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2020-112, approving an amendment to the One Year Action Plans for Fiscal Years 2016-2017, 2017-2018, and 2018-2019 allocating supplemental Community Development Block Grant funding (CDBG-CV) made available under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act to Job Referral and Placement.

 

Hope South Florida, Inc. (HOPE) provides case management services that include job referral and job placement and through its “LIVE Hope” Living Independently Via Employment Program.

 

The Department of Development Services/Community Development Division desires to utilize current CDBG-CV funds to retain HOPE to assist residents that have been impacted by the COVID-19 Health Emergency in identifying employment opportunities.

 

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The Department of Development Services/Community Development Division will manage an agreement with HOPE funded by CDBG-CV funds.  Funding for this project is available in the FY 2020 Operating Budget account number 111.160101.55400.583210.001217.000.000.
