Explanation:
The CRA identified the need for adding a Parklet plaza at Hollywood Blvd. near 21st Avenue within the downtown area and hired GGB Engineering to prepare and permit construction plans for the project including installation of new paver brick, drench drain, bollard, and more.
Per Resolution R-CRA-2016-54, the CRA Board ranked construction management at risk firms for projects within the CRA Districts including streetscape improvements and Burkhardt Construction Inc. was ranked first and has provided these services to the CRA. It is in the best interest of the CRA to enter into an agreement with Burkhardt Construction Inc. to provide construction services for the Parklet project.
Burkhardt Construction Inc. has prepared a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal for a total cost of $103,585.00.
Fiscal Impact:
Sufficient funding is available in account number 166.669901.55200.563010.00018.000.000 to cover the cost associated with this project.
