Explanation:

The Police Department, submitted an application to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration, for Trespassing Pilot Grant Program Operation Fast Track. The Trespassing Pilot Grant Program Operation Fast Track funds will be approximately $70,144.00. If awarded, the Hollywood Police Department would utilize the grant funds for rail trespassing enforcement related activities and report those activities and the associated benefits to the Federal Railroad Administration. The goal of this enforcement and educational campaign will be to; maintain such a visible presence, underscored with constant repeated safety messaging, that it influences the behavior of the community, creates a long lasting reduction in the amount of trespassing along the rail-line, and reduces rail-related deaths.
