Explanation:
The City Commission supports the completion of missing sidewalk networks and designated bicycle lanes along the City's roadway system to provide safe pedestrian and bicycle pathways to protect residents from the traveling public, and in furtherance of these initiatives, has enacted legislation embracing the "Complete Streets" concept in support of these mobility initiatives.

The Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (Broward MPO) obtains federal funding to be appropriated towards mobility enhancement projects. Through the Department of Public Work's efforts, the Broward MPO designated full project federal funding towards the Hollywood Package No. 2 Project No. 431770, providing for the construction of bike lanes. Sidewalks and pedestrian safety improvements within varied neighborhoods along:

? N Park Road from Hollywood Blvd to Johnson Street; widening to construct 4' bike lanes with 1 'buffer
? S Park Road from Hollywood Blvd to Washington Street; widening to construct 4' bike lane with 1' buffer.
? 35th Avenue from S Rainbow Drive to Johnson Street; Sharrows or shared bicycle lanes on existing roadway
? Fillmore Street from 62nd Avenue to SR 7; construct 5' sidewalk where missing.
? Intersection of Polk Street and N 24th Avenue, ADA ramps, crosswalk stripping, countdown pedestrian signal and lighting upgrade.
? Hollywood Blvd, East of 28th Avenue, mid-block crossing safety upgrades.
