Explanation:
The 2007 Water System Master Plan identified the need to replace aging infrastructure throughout the City of Hollywood and to install additional infrastructure to improve the level of service within the City's water system.
As part of the City-wide Water Main Replacement Program, existing water distribution infrastructure will be replaced and 4-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch diameter water mains within the area surrounded by Johnson Street and Taft Street will be installed from North 76th Terrace to North 66th Avenue.
In conjunction with the water main replacement project, a new reuse pipe will be installed along Johnson Street from North 66th Avenue to North 72nd Avenue and along North 72nd Avenue from Johnson Street and Taft Street for future expansion of the reuse system and a force main connection at Taft Street.
On October 15, 2014, via Resolution R-2014-306, the City Commission approved a proposal from EAC Consulting, Inc., in the amount of $812,033.00, to provide design services, permitting services, bidding recommendation services, and limited construction services for the Water Main Replacement Program within the area bounded by Jo...
