Explanation:
The West Lake Community Development District (the "District") is a unit of special-purpose government established in April of 1993 pursuant to the Uniform Community Development District Act of 1980, Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, and the City of Hollywood, Ordinance Number O-93-15, its purpose being to provide community planning, management and financial services for the effective and timely delivery of capital infrastructure needs for the West Lake Village Development within the City of Hollywood, to include but not limited to water management and drainage facilities, transportation system, water and wastewater facilities, and landscaping. The District is representing that it has completed its obligations, and on August 19, 2015, the District passed a motion authorizing the termination of the District and filing of a petition to dissolve the District in accordance with Florida Statutes. Subsection 190.046(9), Florida Statutes, provides that if a district has no outstanding financial obligations and no operating or maintenance responsibilities, upon the petition of the district, the district may be dissolved by nonemergency ordinance of the City.

The City is in receipt of the petition which represents to the City that the District has no outstanding financial obligations or maintenance responsibilities. This representation is subject to the conveyance of the lake parcels owned by the District to the City by Quit Claim Deed prior to the adoption of the subject Ordinance to dissolve the District.
