Explanation:
The Police Department, contingent upon City Commission approval, intends to submit a proposal to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) Vessel Removal Program Grant. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) initiated this grant program to assist with the removal and proper disposal of derelict vessels from waterways.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) Vessel Removal Program Grant funds will be approximately $13,750.00, along with $13,750.00 in matching funds which will come from another grant being considered contemporaneously. If awarded, grant funds for the award period FY 2018, in the amount of $13,750.00 together with $13,750.00 in matching funds Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) Derelict Vessel Removal Program Grant will be used for the removal and disposal of derelict vessels located in the waterways of the City of Hollywood.
