Explanation:
The City of Hallandale Beach is one of six Large Users that send their wastewater to the City of Hollywood's Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant for treatment and disposal. Lift Station E-08 is the City of Hollywood's re-pump station, which serves the east service area of the City of Hallandale Beach.
Lift Station E-08 was placed in service in 1972, has reached the end of its useful life cycle, and needs to be upgraded.
On May 5, 2021, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2021-099, which authorized the appropriate City officials to execute an Authorization to Proceed for Work Order Number CTA 21-01 with Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. for professional engineering services for design, permitting, and bidding services related to the Lift Station E-08 Upgrade in an amount up to $273,749.20.
On August 17, 2023, Invitation for Bid No. IFB-117-23-JJ was electronically advertised on OpenGov in accordance with Section 38.43(A) of the Procurement Code. On September 20, 2023, two bids were received electronically and opened with the following results:
