Explanation:
The Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts (“PRCA”) desires to purchase Dell Latitude 5430 Rugged Laptops for community center computer labs to upgrade existing desk top computers.
During the evaluation process, PRCA was advised that projects funded under the CARES Act’s supplemental funds, CDBG-CV2, were placed on hold pending final approval by Florida Commerce (“Commerce”).
PRCA will issue a new solicitation after Commerce approves the release of funding.
The Solicitation allows for the cancellation of any and all responses.
Section 38.43(D) of the Procurement Code states that when any goods, supplies, materials, equipment or services shall be purchased and the estimated annual amount exceeds $100,000.00, the Chief Procurement Officer shall have the authority to recommend to the City Manager, for City Commission consideration, the rejection or cancellation of all bids or proposals, or parts of all bids or proposals for any one or more goods, supplies, materials, equipment or services.
The Director of PRCA and Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission cancel the Solicitation for Dell Latitude 5430 Rugged Laptops for Computer Lab.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of the attached resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a cancellation of the solicitation for laptops.
