Explanation:
The Police Department is requesting authorization to expend State Law Enforcement Forfeiture Funds in the amount of $300,000.00 for costs associated with the acquisition of law enforcement equipment for use by law enforcement personnel that supports law enforcement activities. The planned purchases include firearms, training and investigative expenses.
Fiscal Impact:
The Law Enforcement Forfeiture Fund received sufficient funding in prior years to allocate the requested $300,000.00. Funding will be made available in Fiscal Year 2024 Operating Budget as detailed in Exhibit 1, subject to the approval of this resolution.
