Explanation:
Up to 3 million tons of food is wasted in Florida annually, while 1 in 7 Floridians lack consistent access to nutritious food for an active, healthy life. The City of Hollywood is participating in this event by inspiring a call to action to reduce food waste in our homes, workplaces, and communities.
Elaine Franklin, Environmental Sustainability Coordinator, will accept the proclamation.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of the presentation of the proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
