Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities desires to issue a one-year renewal to the Blanket Purchase Agreement in an annual amount of up to $300,000.00 over the first one-year renewal period of April 18, 2024 to April 18, 2025.
Section 38.49(C)(1) of the Procurement Code states that when a contract entered by the City according to City Commission approval provides for one or more renewals by affirmative action of the City and the estimated annual cost of renewal exceeds $250,000, only the City Commission is authorized to approve such renewals, which includes this desired renewal.
The Director of the Department of Public Utilities recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the first one-year renewal of the Blanket Purchase Agreement with Tripp Electric Motors, Inc. for SRWWTP electric motor and pump repairs and supplies in an annual amount of up to $300,000.00.
Fiscal Impact:
A portion of the funding for the renewal of this Blanket Purchase Agreement is available in the FY 2024 Operating Budget in account numbers: 442.400603.53600.552240.000000.000.000; 443.410101.53800.552240.000000.000.000; 442.400601.53600.552240.000000.000.000; and 442.400502.53600.552240.000000.000.000 and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years' operating budget subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
