Explanation:
The Department of Public Works desires to increase the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) PA600420 with Genuine Parts Company, d/b/a Napa Auto Parts and Supplies, for aftermarket vehicle parts and supplies.
On December 1, 2021, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2021-320 approving a BPA with Genuine Parts Company d/b/a Napa Auto Parts and Supplies for aftermarket vehicle parts and supplies for an initial three-year term in an amount up to $240,000.00 for the period beginning December 1, 2021, through November 30, 2024, with an additional one-year renewal option.
The auto supplies and parts industry has seen an increase of over twenty percent within the past year; supply chain issues and inflation have have contributed to the increase in motor vehicle parts and supplies. The City's aging fleet and the addition of vehicles and equipment have also caused a need for this increase.
The Department of Public Works would like to increase the BPA with Genuine Parts Company d/b/a Napa Auto Parts and Supplies by $100,000.00 annually, increasing the total from $240,000.00 to $340,000.00.
The Director of the Department of Public Works recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the change order of the Blanket Purchase Agreement with Genuine Parts Company d/b/a Napa Auto Parts and Supplies in an amount up to $340,000.00 annually.
