Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") desires to purchase three six-inch BBA bypass pumps with trailers and one eight-inch BBA bypass pump to move stormwater and prevent flooding in City of Hollywood neighborhood. The Department also wants to purchase two additional six-inch BBA bypass pumps with trailers for pumping sewage when lift stations fail. This will help prevent back-ups and sanitary sewage overflows.

The desired pumps were competitively bid by the Florida Sheriffs Association through FSA 20-EQU 18.0 Heavy Equipment on October 1, 2020, and awarded to BBA Pumps under Contact FSA 20-EQU 18.0 Heavy Equipment (FSA 20-EQU). The current term of FSA 20-EQU is from October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2023, with an option to renew the contract for two additional one-year periods.

The Department of Public Utilities Director recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the appropriate City officials to issue the attached Purchase Order in an amount not to exceed $366,989.26, with PSI Technologies, Inc for six total BBA Pumps.

Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this purchase requires amending the approved FY 2023 Capital Improvement Plan as detailed in Exhibits "1" and "2", subject to approval of this resolution.
