Explanation:
The American Public Works Association has declared May 21-27, 2023, as National Public Works Week. Every year since 1960, the last week of May has been dedicated to the recognition of Public Works’ professionals across the United States.
This year’s theme is “Connecting the World through Public Works”. Educating and bringing attention to Public Works’ professionals, and the contributions their dedication, efforts, and skills make to the communities they serve. Public Works’ professionals foster sustainable and resilient communities helping to provide the highest possible quality of life for all of us. They also maintain our infrastructure and facilities and help to maintain public safety.
The proclamation will be accepted by Public Works Director, Joseph S. Kroll, and some of the Public Works’ staff.
The proclamation will be presented at the May 17, 2023, City Commission Meeting.

Approval of this proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
