Explanation:
The beautiful coastal beaches and inland waters of the City of Hollywood represent a world-renowned recreational resource.
City of Hollywood residents and visitors alike must remember: swim near a lifeguard, learn to swim, learn rip current safety, never swim alone, enter water feet first, life jackets save lives, observe signs & flags, beat the heat & block the sun, and keep the beach and the water clean.
The proclamation will be accepted by Joyce Fuhrman, Marine Safety Chief, City of Hollywood, Florida.
The proclamation will be presented at the May 17, 2023 City Commission Meeting.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
