Explanation:
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts ("PRCA") is seeking funds for the Hollywood Marina Master Plan Phase I Fuel Pier Improvement project updating the fuel pumps and existing dock.

PRCA has applied for The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission 2024 Boating Improvement Program ("BIP") grant in the amount of $137,000.00.

The BIP grant does not require matching funds. PRCA and Moffatt and Nichol, the City's consultants for the Marina Master Plan and for assisting in obtaining grants associated with implementing the Plan, recommend including 50% of the project cost of $274,000.00 in matching funds (equivalent to $137,000.00) to receive additional points during the technical evaluation of the application.

Fiscal Impact:
If awarded, grant funding in the amount of $137,000.00 will be appropriated in the FY 2023 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Plan for the Hollywood Marina Master Plan Phase 1- Fuel Pier Project as detailed in Exhibit 1.

Funding for the City's proposed grant match was included in the amended FY 2023 Capital Improvement Plan and is available in account number 334.309901.57200.563010.001589....
