Explanation:

The month of May, 2023 is declared Historic Preservation Month.  This year’s theme is “PEOPLE SAVING PLACES.” Preservation Month provides the perfect time to show how the community's history honors the past and helps build the future.  The City of Hollywood has always placed a priority on preservation through the adoption of historic preservation ordinances, designating historic sites and districts, and continually supporting historic preservation activity throughout the City.

 

The proclamation will be accepted by Terry Cantrell, Chair, Historic Preservation Advisory Board.

 

The proclamation will be presented at the May 3, 2023 City Commission Meeting.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Approval of this proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
