Explanation:
On February 16, 2022, Trudy Sacco (“Claimant”) filed a civil action against the City seeking damages arising out of a trip and fall incident that occurred on February 19, 2019 (Broward County Circuit Court Case Number CACE-22-002506-03). The City Attorney and Claimant’s attorney have negotiated a settlement in the amount of $62,500.00.
If this settlement is approved by the City Commission, the monies will be paid from the City’s self-insurance fund.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this settlement is available in the City’s Self-Insurance Fund.
