Explanation:
On March 6, 2002, the City Commission passed Resolution No. R-2002-058 authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute the Interlocal Agreement and Ground Lease with Broward County for the construction of a community library with the City of Hollywood funding the second floor at a cost of $442,000.00.

On May 7, 2003, the City Commission passed Resolution No. R-2003-141 authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute the First Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement ("ILA") and Ground Lease between the City of Hollywood and Broward County for the construction of fifty-nine parking spaces in the northwest quadrant of the City Hall Circle and to accommodate the pad for three book drop locations on the Premises.

On June 18, 2003, the City Commission passed Resolution No. R-2003-188 authorizing the appropriate City officials to negotiate and execute a Second Amendment to the ILA for the construction of a shell space for the second floor, as well as an upgrade of the foundation system along with other structural elements to support a future third and fourth floors to the community library.

On February 2, 2005, the Commission passed Resolution No. R-2005-021 authorizing the execution of the Interlocal Agreement and the Second Amendment to the Ground Lease between Broward County and City of Hollywood for the construction and maintenance of a Veteran's Memorial on the premises leased by Broward County.
