Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") requires specialists to test, paint, repair, and replace fire hydrants as needed, and for the maintenance, testing, and replacement of fire hydrant valves. Proper maintenance and operation of fire hydrants is necessary to ensure they operate properly to fight fires to protect public health and safety.
A competitive process for the desired services was bid by Seminole County through IFB 603974-CAR Fire Hydrant and Valve Maintenance, Repair and Flushing Services on December 11, 2020, and awarded to R&M Service Solutions, LLC under the contract Seminole County IFB 603974-CAR Fire Hydrant and Valve Maintenance and Flushing Services (IFB 603974-CAR). The current term of IFB 603974-CAR is from December 11, 2020, through December 10, 2023, with an option to renew the contract for two additional one-year periods.
R&M Service Solutions, LLC has agreed to extend to the City the same pricing under the terms and conditions set forth in IFB 603974-CAR.
The Director of the Department of Public Utilities and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve and authorize the execution of the attached Blanket Purchase Agreement with R&M Service Solutions, LLC based upon IFB 603974-CAR in an annual amount of $500,000.00; and
