Explanation:
The CRA desires certain beatification improvements to Hollywood Boulevard between N. 21 Avenue and State Road 5 (Young Circle/Federal Highway/US1) to enhance the corridor aesthetic and improve the pedestrian experience.
A portion of the CRA’s Hollywood Boulevard Streetscape Project includes the undergrounding of utility facilities along the north/south alley east of 21 Avenue.
Florida Power and Light (“FP&L”) provided an invoice in the amount of $110,598.00 covering the cost for design, equipment and final connection for the conversion of overhead utility lines to underground, attached as Exhibit “A”.
The CRA requests authorization from the CRA Board to allow for the expenditure of funds for FP&L’s invoice associated with the undergrounding utility conversation.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this expenditure is available in FY23 operating budget, in account number 166.669902.55200.563010.001349.000.000.
