Explanation:
The Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department desires to continue services for a stretcher maintenance service plan and medical supplies specific to Stryker Sales products on an as-needed basis. Stryker Sales is the manufacturer of the Stryker Stretcher and its accessory, the Stryker Power Load System.
The Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department desires to use Stryker Sales for the stretcher maintenance service plan since they are the manufacturer with advanced knowledge needed to maintain the Stryker Stretcher while preserving the warranties.
On December 7, 2022, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution R-2022-356, which authorized the purchase of Lucas Devices (CPR Machines) and LIFE-PAK 15’s (EKG/Defibrillators) from Stryker Sales for $528,596.25.
The City is utilizing Stryker Sales for various purchases. The amount being paid to the firm has exceeded $100,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2023 and therefore, City Commission approval is required for the payment of additional costs to this company pursuant to Section 38.38 of the Procurement Code.

Funding for this Blanket Purchase Agreement is available in the FY 2023 Operating budget in account numbers 001.215101.52200.531170.000000.000.000, 001.215101.52200.546310.000000.000.000, 001.215101.52200.552320.000000.000.000 and 111.219801.52200.564530.000000.000.000.
