Explanation:

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz will recognize the awarding of $3.5 million toward the replacement of all seven (7) 2 million gallons per day (MGD) capacity Membrane Softening (MS) trains at the water treatment plant. The existing membranes will be replaced with a newer and advanced 2 stage MS system that is more energy efficient and reliable than the existing system. As a part of the replacement program, electronic operations and cyber security will also be enhanced. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz sponsored this request on behalf of the City of Hollywood through the 2023 Community Project Funding Appropriation Request.
