Explanation:

The Police Department is requesting authorization to expend Federal (Treasury) Law Enforcement Forfeiture Funds in the amount of $285,000.00 for costs associated with the acquisition of law enforcement equipment for use by law enforcement personnel that supports law enforcement activities. The funds will be used to purchase new and replacement firearms. 

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The Law Enforcement Forfeiture Fund received sufficient funding in prior years to allocate the requested $285,000.00.  Funding will be made available in the Fiscal Year 2023 Operating Budget as detailed in Exhibit 1, subject to the approval of this resolution.
