Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") has 85 lift stations that periodically require specialized services. Potentially necessary services include the rehabilitation and repair of all lift stations and their appurtenances. Proper operation of the lift stations is necessary to prevent sewer overflows and protect the health and safety of the public.

A competitive process for similar services was performed by the City of Sunrise, Florida via bid number 22-17-03-MS, Lift Station Rehabilitation and Repair and Services. The City of Sunrise issued an Initial Agreement with Intercounty Engineering, Inc. for the period of September 24, 2022 through September 23, 2025. This Agreement may also be renewed for two additional one-year periods. Prices remain fixed for the initial term of the Agreement.

Intercounty Engineering Inc. has agreed to provide the Department similar lift station rehabilitation and repair services at the same pricing as provided for in Contract Agreement No. 2022000363.

The Department of Public Utilities Director recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the appropriate City officials to execute the attached Blanket Purchase Agreement in an amount not to exceed $1,500,000.00 with Intercounty Engineering, Inc.
