Explanation:

Fire Rescue would like to purchase High-Water Rescue Vehicles. These vehicles assist rescuers to evacuate civilians from areas that are partially underwater, or about to be underwater. In response to the impact that Hurricane Ian had on the west coast of Florida, our barrier island, and flood prone areas in the City of Hollywood, Fire Rescue would like to purchase two (2) additional High-Water Rescue Vehicles.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this Purchase Order was included in the amended FY 2023 Capital Improvement Plan and is available in account number 117.219901.51900.564520.001659.000.000.
