Explanation:
The City of Hollywood Marine Advisory Board was established by the City Commission to develop ways to increase revenue from the marine industries sector in the City of Hollywood.
The Board identifies goals and objectives on an annual basis and provides input to develop ways to increase revenue from the marine industries sector in the City.
The Marine Advisory Board is comprised of ten voting members, with representatives from the following categories: three Marine Industry Professionals, four Residents, and three Members.
There is a Marine Industry Professional vacancy due to the removal of Nick Pietrocarlo with the term expiring June 30, 2023.
There is a Hollywood Resident vacancy due to the removal of Scott Singer and Shawn Doree those terms are expiring on June 30, 2024.
There is a Member vacancy due to the removal of Mary Jo O’Hara with the term expiring on June 30, 2025.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal to appoint three new board members.
