Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") has 85 sewer lift stations that periodically require specialized services. Potentially necessary services include the rehabilitation and repair of all sewer lift stations and their appurtenances. Proper maintenance and operation of these lift stations and their appurtenances is necessary to prevent sewer overflows and protect Public Health and Safety.
A competitive process for similar services was performed by Broward County through IFB #PNC2122386B1 and awarded to Trio Development Corporation for the period of June 2, 2021, through June 1, 2024. This Agreement may also be extended for two additional one-year periods. Prices remain fixed for the initial term of the Agreement.
Trio Development Corporation has agreed to provide the Department similar Lift Station and appurtenance rehabilitation and repair services at the same pricing as provided for in Broward County contract #PNC2122386B1.
The Department of Public Utilities Director recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the appropriate City officials to execute the attached Blanket Purchase Agreement for an annual amount of $500,000.00, with Trio Development Corporation.
