Explanation:

On October 4, 2017 the CRA Board passed and adopted Resolution R-CRA-2017-40, which directed CRA staff to implement a Parklet Pilot Program for a one-year period in the Downtown CRA. On September 5, 2018 the CRA Board passed and adopted Resolution R-CRA-2018-30, which set the rate and time frame for the Parklet Pilot Program. At this time the Pilot Program has ended and is no longer available.

 

Mr. Barrett Windish is the owner of 1942 Hollywood Blvd and is requesting to enter into a Parklet Revocable License Agreement with the City to place a Pirate Ship Parklet adjacent to their property.  They have committed to maintaining the necessary liability insurance, indemnify and hold harmless the City and otherwise abide by the terms and conditions specified in the attached license agreement. The attached license agreements reflects a twelve-month term and license fee of $8/space/day.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The CRA will pay the City a lost revenue recovery fee of $8 per day for each parking meter taken out of service for up to three parking spaces. This revenue will be recognized in the Parking Enterprise Fund.
