Explanation:

The Police Department is requesting authorization to expend State Law Enforcement Forfeiture Funds in the amount of $300,000.00 for costs associated with law enforcement training, law enforcement investigations and initiatives (inclusive of overtime and payment of confidential informant fees), and the acquisition of law enforcement equipment for use by law enforcement personnel that supports law enforcement activities.

 

Fiscal Impact:

The Law Enforcement Forfeiture Fund received sufficient funding in prior years to allocate the requested $300,000.00. Funding will be made available in Fiscal Year 2022 Operating Budget as detailed in Exhibit 1, subject to approval of this resolution.
