Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Agreement.

 

 

Explanation:

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development has allocated a third supplemental Community Development Block Grant allocation (CDBG-CV3) with specific waivers to respond to the COVID-19 health emergency in the amount of $1,125,498.00.

 

Staff recommends allocating the CDBG-CV3 allocation as follows; $201,398.40 towards Homeless Services, $230,000.00 towards Business Assistance, $250,000.00 to repair and replace HVAC systems in LMI Community Centers, $75,000.00 in Laptops and Wiring to support public service programming at LMI Community Centers, $144,000.00 towards Tolemi Software to aid in Planning and Capacity Building relating to the long and short term effects to the housing market as a result of the financial impact of the Coronavirus; and  general administration in an amount not to exceed $225,099.60.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Funding will be made available in the Fiscal Year 2021 operating budget as detailed in Exhibit 1, subject to approval of this resolution.
