Explanation:
HOME funds are used to expand the supply of decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing, with primary attention given to rental housing for very low-income and low-income families.

The Community Development Division seeks to guard against incidences of homelessness in Hollywood by providing Tenant-Based Rental Assistance.

The City has had a longstanding relationship with Hope South Florida to provide Tenant-Based Rental Assistance for individuals and households that have been referred as part of the Broward County Continuum of Care system. This resolution expands the eligible participant base to include persons financially impacted by the COVID-19 HEALTH EMERGENCY and increases the total funding for program years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 from $1,123,682.24 to $1,793,608.99.

Fiscal Impact:
The Department of Development Services/Community Development Division will manage an agreement with Hope South Florida funded by HOME funds. Funding for this seventh amendment to the agreement in the amount of $669,926.75 is available in account numbers 111.160201.55400.583230.000225.000.000, 111.160201.55400.583230.000226.000.00, and 111.160201.55400.583230.001006.000.000.
