Explanation:
The City currently contracts with Circuit Transit Inc., formerly known as Free Ride, for circulator services to and from Downtown Hollywood, Hollywood Beach, and the City’s parking garages. The total estimated annual cost of $885,360.00 for the service is jointly funded by the CRA (2/3rd) and City (1/3rd).
The initial term of the agreement was for one year with the option to renew for three additional one year periods. On May 20, 2020, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2020-105 that authorized the first renewal of the agreement for a one year period. The CRA Board, via Resolution No. R-CRA-2020-18, in turn authorized 2/3rds of the cost for circulator services to be paid by the CRA for the first renewal period. The current agreement expired on March 3, 2021, and the parties desire to renew the existing agreement for an additional one year period which retroactively will commence on March 5, 2021 and will expire on March 4, 2022.
The funding for this Project will continue to be shared jointly by the CRA and the City.
