Explanation:
The CRA supports the undergrounding of utility facilities, for reasons of public safety and aesthetics. A governmental entity seeking construction management services must issue a request for qualifications, review the statements of qualifications, rank the firms, and negotiate with the most qualified firm.
On June 26, 2020, the CRA issued RFQ BCRA 12-029 to provide construction management at risk services for phase IV undergrounding of overhead utilities and streetscape beautification at SR A1A from Hollywood Boulevard to Sheridan Street.
On September 17, 2020, the CRA Board approved resolution R-BCRA-2020-31, authorizing the appropriate CRA officials to negotiate and award an agreement, with the highest ranked firm and when an agreement is reached to bring back to the CRA Board for consideration an approval.
Burkhardt Construction Inc. was selected as the highest ranked firm and has prepared a proposal for the Construction Management at Risk: Phase I - Pre-Construction fee in an amount not to exceed $48,300.00.
