Explanation:

The Office of Human Resources requires the services of a qualified and experienced firm to prepare the Request for Proposal (RFP), and aide in the selection process of procuring the services of a Third Party Administrator (TPA) for the workers’ compensation and liability self-insurance program. Aon Risk Services, Inc. of Florida, will give the City’s project top priority with a staff of consultants who will respond timely and effectively to perform the work required by the City.

 

The total annual cost is for a not to exceed amount of $31,779.00, which is 10% above the quoted amount of $28,890.00 for professional consultant services.  Commission approval is requested as the City has other professional services with Aon Risk Services, Inc. of Florida that exceed the City Manager authority limits.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this service is available in the fiscal year 2021 operating budget in account number 558.112006.51900.591930.000000.000.000 (workers compensation).
