Explanation:
On October 7, 2020, the City Commission approved the execution of a Sub-Grantee Agreement with Hope South Florida, Inc. to provide Re-Housing and Eviction Prevention Assistance utilizing Broward County Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00 (R-2020-248). This Agreement was done in order to expedite distribution of government issued CRF funds to the community.
Due to the continued financial impacts to low- and moderate-income persons as a result of the COVID-19 Health Emergency, the Department of Development Services’ Community Development Division desires to amend the Sub-Grantee Agreement with Hope South Florida, Inc. to increase the funding amount by $937,623.11 for a total funding amount not to exceed $1,237,623.11. The sub-grantee will be supported with the amended funding amount, and the City will be reimbursed via the County’s CRF funds.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding in the amount of $1,237.623.11 is available in account number 168.190108.52500.546606.001346.000.000. Per the CRF agreement, all CRF funding must be expended by December 30, 2020. Additionally administrative expenditures may not exceed 10% of the funding allocation.
