Explanation:
The Engineering, Transportation and Mobility Division implements the sidewalk improvement projects adopted under the City's Capital Improvement Program to include, but not limited to, the 50/50 Shared Cost Sidewalk Program, the ADA Sidewalk/Ramp Program, the CDBG Sidewalk Program and the City Facilities Sidewalk Program.
On May 1, 2019, the City Commission authorized award of a contract between the City and OMB, LLC. to perform the FY2019 sidewalk improvement projects in the amount not to exceed $524,545.00 (R-2019-113). The contract with OMB, LLC expired on July 27, 2020 and a total of $325,169.05 has been expended.
As a continuance of sidewalk improvement programs, it is in the best interest of the City to have OMB, LLC to complete the remaining sidewalk projects with in the budgeted amount. This will also prevent any delays in completing the remaining work. For this continuation, a Blanket Purchase Agreement ("BPA") with an addendum to the terms and conditions of the BPA will be issued following pricing of the original contract with OMB, LLC. Competitive bidding and competitive proposals are being exempted under Section 38.41(C)(9) of the Procurement Code when the Commission declares by a 5/7ths affirmative vote that competitive bidding and competitive proposals are not in the best interest of the City.
