Explanation:
Broward County qualified for a direct payment allocation and received $340,744,702.00 in funding from the Department of the Treasury under the Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) program.
On September 16, 2020, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2020-230 that approved the execution of a Subaward Agreement with Broward County for the distribution of CARES Act Funding in the amount of $8,195,497.46 to be utilized for Projects identified in the Agreement.
The attached resolution requests that the City Commission retains HOPE South Florida, Inc. to administer Re-Housing and Eviction Prevention activities to benefit Hollywood residents who have been impacted by COVID-19. The sub-grantee will be supported with funds in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00, and the City will be reimbursed via the County’s CRF funds.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding in the amount of $300,000.00 is available in account number 168.190108.52500.546606.001346.000.000. Per the CRF agreement, all CRF funding must be expended by December 30, 2020. Additionally, administrative expenditures may not exceed 10% of the funding allocation.
