Explanation:
The City of Hollywood, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Advisory Board was established by the City Commission to promote parks, recreation, cultural arts, special events and golf operations within the City.
The Board identifies goals and objectives on an annual basis and provides input on capital improvement projects and community needs, as they relate to the Department.
There is one youth vacancy that was never filled; and the second youth position was held by Lauren Rosenthal who’s term expires June 2021 however she has resigned.
The City Clerk provided notice to the public that positions were available and solicited interest forms from citizens to fill available vacancies.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal to appoint one new youth board member.
