Staff Recommends: Approval of the Attached Ordinance.
Explanation:
Florida Statutes require local governments to annually review their Capital Improvement Element (CIE) and update the Five-Year Schedule of Capital Improvements (SCI). The purpose of the CIE and SCI is to identify capital improvements needed to maintain Level of Service (LOS) Standards adopted by the Comprehensive Plan for concurrency related facilities. The general concept of concurrency is to ensure public facilities (sanitary sewer, solid waste, drainage, potable water, parks and recreation, and roads) are available concurrent (at the same time) with development.
At the July 23, 2020 Planning and Development Board meeting the Board forwarded a recommendation of approval to the City Commission.
Attachment I: July 23, 2020 Planning and Development Board Staff Report and Backup
