Explanation:
The City of Hollywood and the CRA desires to implement the Hollywood Downtown Streets Pilot Project ("Project") to analyze and explore possibilities to improve the existing streets right-of-way and to develop a reference manual with public right-of-way design guidelines for future developments city-wide.
The Project is being done as a joint effort with the City and the include areas between Johnson Street and Washington Street from Federal Highway to Dixie Highway / North 21st Avenue which are within the Downtown district.
The city has an existing continuing Professional Services Agreement for Professional Engineering Services with Bermello, Ajamal & Partners, Inc. for civil/landscape architect/planning projects pursuant to Resolution No. R-2018-400, and the company has been retained to assist in the planning of the Project as well as develop a design guideline reference manual for public rights-of-way streetscape.
Bermello, Ajamal & Partners, Inc. has submitted a proposal for the project in an amount not to exceed $203,375.00. The CRA will reimburse the City $170,432.50 for the services that specifically relates to the Downtown District of the CRA.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for the CRA's portion of the Project is available in account number 166.668605.55200.531170.000000.000.000.
